Sentarô is "kind" ?

Hello !

Just finished this anime, I enjoyed it even though it felt like some shortcuts were done during the adaptation.

A moment which really shocked me was at episode 6. Sentarô destroys someone right at the beginning of the new school year.
Can manga reader confirms that some content were cut off for the anime ? I mean, everybody says Sentarô "looks terrifiying but is super nice", so there is no way he would just attack people for no reason ( "a little exercise" as he said) ? That would make him a truly horrible character. I am guessing the "victim" has done bad things in the manga that were not explained in the anime. Can someone confirm ?

I've only watched the anime but they were most likely fighting for the top and the guy was in boxing club but still couldn't stand a chance against our dude Sentarou. Why would he beat anyone if they did nothing wrong?
