Happy and cheerful... I love them! It's indeed a pity that there's not much of there music to find on the net, but it looks like different people still remember them :) They have played in a church here in Belgium also; it must be over 15 years ago... My parents bought a CD but I can't remember its name... Need to find it back.
I Love Runakuna' music and I'm very surprised of just only very few songs of theirs here on RUclips! As well as great Bolivia Manta, a Legendary band, and just only few videos!that's a scandal!
Thank you very much for posting this beautiful song! I have always loved Andean music and bought a tape of Runakuna when they were here in Norway, years and years ago. But tapes don't last long, so I have really missed Shamuni! :o)
+Hypno-Systems UK's Ericksonian Hypnosis And Hypnotic Sound Healing I love these guys, but reaching out to them would be arrogant: they don't need me to confirm the beauty of their life and love, but let them know that I love them.
Runakuna is the name of the music group, they are from Otavalo in Ecuador. Runakuna is a word in “Kichwa” and it means “a group of people”. Shamuni is other word in Kichwa and it means “I Come”.
La música de nuestros ancestros tocan las fibras más íntimas del alma , esto es Ecuador mi país.

tradecraft46 Indeed! To have seen them perform live at that street fair was one of the high points of my life.
Well they do get around. They lived in Jersey City and I used to see them at the PATH. They are Quechua speakers and their Spanish was pretty rough.
